Will Kessie Chose Rome Or Milan?

Franck Kessie of Ivory Coast international has the desire to join Milan, though on the other hand Roma have a deal with Atalanta, flashing the bidding war of €30m.

This is the situation that has been as described by a number of sources and Italian sports Newspapers.

Guess the footballer

Football is the most popular sports on the planet and as a result, footballers have become some of the most recognisable people on the planet.

But how good is your knowledge of these players? How many Premier League players can you recognise from their hairstyles, boots, and cars?

What’s the betting you can’t?

DUSSUYER TAKES OVER

Ivory Coast brought in Michel Dussuyer as the replacement for Herve Renard a few weeks ago. The national team is at a crossroad after this managerial change, but the Frenchman says that he has come to this job in order to win trophies.

Ivory Coast are regarded as one of the strongest African teams around. For years, they were regarded as favourites for the Africa Cup of Nations title. The long wait for this trophy recently came to an end with the likes of Yaya Touré contributing immensely in the victory in 2015.

GHANA MISSED APPIAH

Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho believes that the absence of Stephen Appiah was a major contributing factor in the national team’s disappointing showing at the World Cup 2014.

The former Ghana captain was recently a guest for the Speaker to witness a friendly match.

Regarded as one of finest players for Ghana over the last decade, Stephen Appiah was the captain of the national team during the 2006 and the 2010 World Cup. Ghana performed exceedingly well in these tournaments and Adjaho says that it was largely down to the leadership skills of Appiah.

FBI TAKES ON FIFA

The FBI has been investing heavily into the world football governing body, FIFA, over allegations of corruption primarily relating to the award of the World Cups. Since Sepp Blatter took charge of FIFA in 1998, the World Cup has been held in Europe only once – in 2006.

IVORY COAST BLOW

Ivory Coast have been dealt a huge blow with the news that Everton striker Arouna Kone will not be available for the World Cup 2014 after undergoing surgery in order to remove a cartilage problem in his knee.

Ivory Coast have a plethora of strikers capable of leading the line, but Kone has been one of the finest replacement for captain Didier Drogba in the recent months. He has not played for Everton or the national team since October. No, he has undergone an operation in order to rectify the problem in his knee.

GERVINHO BACKS IVORY COAST

Roma striker Gervinho is of the opinion that Ivory Coast are not second best to any of the teams at the FIFA World Cup 2014. Ivory Coast go into the tournament as one of the African representatives.

FAVOURITES

Ivory Coast have been classified as one of the favourites to get into the knockout stages after being drawn in the group containing the likes of Japan and Greece. Colombia are the other team in the group.

Considering that the likes of Germany and Spain could have been their group opponents, this is a much kinder draw for the African team. As a result, their manager Sabri Lamouchi says that they could qualify for the knockout phases, but he has admitted that winning the tournament still remains a long way away.

WORLD CUP DREAMS

After qualifying for the World Cup 2014 by managing to overcome one of the stronger teams from Africa – Senegal, Ivory Coast will be looking to do well at the major tournament.

They were a major disappointment at the 2010 World Cup after they did not even manage to get past the group stages. Ivory Coast finished third in the group containing Brazil, Portugal, and North Korea. At 2014 World Cup, they are grouped along with Columbia, Greece, and Japan. Ivory Coast have been made of the favourites to qualify for the knockout stages.

BRAZIL BOUND

Ivory Coast reached the World Cup finals for the third time in their history and this delighted their manager Sabri Lamouchi. Ivory Coast have been criticised for not performing well in major tournaments, as they have failed to win the African cup of nations on a number of occasions despite being the outright favourites.
